why is reading a chore for me now

i used to be able to enjoy reading and get through books i enjoyed, but now it feels like an effort and chore just to concentrate...i'm not sure if it's the age we're living in and sat in front of computer screens which is causing it.....but i'll get a book and then can't be bothered to really read it and find it tedious just the thought of reading it.

any ideas why this is?

Yes, u got it...too much screen time has a profound impact on concentration. I found that my patience and concentration are not what they used to be. The cure obviously is to limit screen time, and enjoy nature and deep breathing.
