do you miss the artwork and illustrations old books had

thats why i like collecting old vintage books, not just for the content but for the front cover illustrations and artwork as well....you don't get that anymore with this modern generic rubbish they publish now.

Yes, there was immense skill in some of those illustrations.

@darkmere1983 Some of those illustrations in early books were hand engraved in reverse on printing blocks. What a craft!
