Core Memory - Recording before I forget it

My dad gifted the first three Harry Potter books to me, tied in a slim red ribbon, on Christmas 1999.

He died 4 months later, April 8th 2000.

I can literally say that my dad was onto Harry Potter before it even started, and that makes me laugh.

Harry Potter was my generations version of The Lord of The Rings (which was his favorite).

I picture those books in the ribbon clear as day.

Wish we could have talked about it.
