Does anyone here still read books?

I received several books for Christmas and I can’t wait to get started. I love the feel of a book in my hands, the act of turning the pages.
And if it’s an older book, the smell of the pages, and thinking about who might’ve read the book before me.
I enjoy all subject matter and categories: history, biographies, financial and life advice, non-fiction and science fiction.
My least favourite book? Facebook 😂

books are a passive medium.. games are way superior
@PinkPunk that’s a bold statement. I wonder if the people that created the games you enjoy ever read any books 🤔

@Ghostinthemachine shows how little you seem to know about games
@PinkPunk I don’t claim to know much, but the poster above, Rooster seems to, and he reads plenty

@Ghostinthemachine i had to read a lot of books in school... all acclaimed masterpieces... and every single one of them sucked. the protagonists are boring and really nothign is interestign about them. character development is stale and the metaphers used are ridiculous and completely open to interpret in the weirdest ways
@PinkPunk reading is probably least enjoyable when you are forced to do it, like anything. There are plenty of books of all subject matter, that I wouldn’t rule the entire format out.
Might I suggest one that I think you would enjoy? Ready Player One, about virtual gaming, but the stakes are life and death!
