I only saw the movie. As I remember, it was fairly clear what most of the made-up words meant from the context in which they were used.

But it can get daunting when you get to a page that's nothing but 'doobidoob' and 'sleepways' and 'moloko'. Without any certain context you can get lost easily. A lot of it's just interpretation

@twofacetoo: Yeah, I can see how it was different in the book. I think I would have had to check the glossary.
