What is best Stephen King book which has a traditional ghost story ?

I don't think any of Stephen King's books are traditional but my favorite is Desperation.

The Shining was the most terrifying of them (it completely freaked me out the first time I read it, I had to get up, lock the door and check in the cupboard and under the bed), but I'd call Salems Lot the most enjoyable of his more tradition-leaning books.

None of King's work could be considered traditional.

I loved the Stand- very creative when he was writing under the drug influence
