I've read the books and she is beyond cruel...honestly all Trump wants to do is build a wall...Umbridge is far worse 😖

That seems to be the direction he is headed. The first clue was silencing his critics in the press by excluding hostile news organizations. That's straight out of Hitler's playbook. And Hitler rose to power on a "Let's Make Germany Great Again" theme. And scapegoating is another parallel. Hitler chose Jews and other minority groups as persona non grata, Trump is using immigrants to stoke the fear of the populace.

So, yeah. I am definitely comparing Trump to Hitler.

@Fangirlsarah1996: There are parallels, from the very beginning the message was the same; Hitler told the German people that their country was being destroyed from within by foreign elements and Jewish people. With Trump, substitute illegal immigrants and Muslims and it's basically the same speeches. And just like attacks on Jewish people and "non-Aryans" increased then, so have physical attacks increased on people perceived to be Latino and Muslim here. This is provable. Trump's rhetoric has emboldened such people and made that okay again. People don't like the comparisons to Hitler because we know how that all ended. But if Trump can get away with suppressing any news sources that don't report favorably about him, where [b]are[/b] we headed ?

@Fangirlsarah1996: The reporting of the Times and CNN are fact-based and responsible journalism. They may be ugly facts, but they are the real facts. And the reality just isn't pretty. Any opinions or intentionally biased conclusions are clearly labeled as such in the editorial page.

Compare that to Trump's darling Fox News. There is no distinction between editorial opinion and facts. My take is Fox is an entertainment channel masquerading as news. It is biased and blind to the facts. And what floors me is that a large segment of the population can't see that Fox "news" is pure bullshit because they are hearing what they want to hear.
