If you were reading a story about Stockholm Syndrome.

Would you want it to be in the abused or the abuser point of view ?
Cuz' I'm writing a fanfictions with this theme, and I'm in the middle of it but still haven't posted it. And I wrote it in the abused point of view.
But now I realize that all stories with this theme are told from this pov, but none that depicts the psychological state of the abuser.
Wonder if I could do that...

Hmmmm you're right,there are not many stories written/told by the abuser. But I'd still want to know the abused person's pov. I REALLY wanna know what's on their mind and even though there are many stories like that I still don't think we have enough information about what causes these...feelings.

I think Beauty and the Beast nailed it from the point of view of the abused. The abuser's mental state is probably hard for the reader to relate to, but also super fascinating. Go with that one.

Trends have been from the abused POV maybe mix things up and go with the later.

I remember I watched this movie called "Boxing Helena" which I guess had to do with Stockholm Syndrome...since he cut off her limbs and sh*t

@JarJarBoom: yeah I think you're right. Or maybe it's exactly what this question is about? Stockholm syndrome from the abuser's pov? How could we even know though...

@IDidNotFart: I guess if I really wanted to answer this question legitly, I better go kidnap someone

@JarJarBoom: my thoughts exactly.

Yes, before I read your whole post I was thinking the same thing. They hardly, if ever, show the abuser's side.

Yeah, it could be interesting to get the point of view of an unstable/mad/sociopathic character

The psychological state of the victim in that case is way more interesting because it changes and progresses.
