Did you have an imaginary friend as a child? What did they look like?

I did. Her name was Molly, she was tall (about 5'10), had light blue skin, purple hair, and green eyes.

I always thought imaginary friends were too overused so I went ahead and created whole worlds for myself when I was younger. Ironically I spend more time in them now than I did then mostly because dealing with people is awful.

I had worlds to dive into via books. I was a reader as a child, and still find books to be a magnificent escape.

@PeanutsauntieP1982: They are an excellent escape. I kept all of my childhood favorites and sometimes re-read them just to spark the memories again. <3

Sadly I didn't get to keep mine, but when I run across them, I re-read them. Recently I re-read "Diceys Song", by Cynthia Voigt, which I hadn't read in almost a quarter century. It was akin to reuniting with a close childhood friend. :-D

@PeanutsauntieP1982: I haven't read that book, but I can relate to the feeling it evokes. There isn't much that makes me happy these days and experiencing that throwback to better days or thinking back to a fond memory is really what keeps me going. Now you've made me want to go back and re-read some more of my books :D

LOL! I'm glad to hear that! Re-reading is awesome!
