Reading, Reading....

I'm currently reading my way through Victorian Psycho. But my autistic brain can't separate what's the dark/satire humor, and what's the seriousness... Because the humor comes off as dead serious to me and vice versa. 🫩

My daughter has autism and with humor sometimes she’ll find something absolutely hilarious that the rest of us don’t even understand why it’s funny. Like full belly laugh laughing. It’s always interesting to me how differently people can interpret the exact same thing.

@Bexsy That's happened to me too occasionally. It once happened in a movie theater years ago. It was a packed cinema for a thriller and I mistook a line of dialogue as humor... It was awkward being the only one laughing. 😅 🤣 But I also didn't see humor in what they found hilarious 😅

@GoFish I think so 😅 One of the chapter titles is, "In Which I Meet My Employers and Am Not Terribly Impressed"

... I don't know if that's humor or a literal statement 😅
