A big literature disappointment...

I felt like a bit of change in reading and something I saw on Youtube reminded me of William Faulkner. I'm sure I read something by him back in college, but that was over 50 years ago and I can't remember anything about it. SO I bought myself a 4-novel collection of Faulkner's work, settled in to read, and was totally disappointed. I managed to get around the first 100 pages of THE SOUND AND THE FURY read, but it is SO boring and pretty meaningless. Should have been titled THE BORING AND THE TEDIOUS. I don;t think I can talk myself into reading anything else in that volume. :(
