I liked the movie In the Name of the Rose with Sean Connery and what's his name that was in Mr. Robot. Christian Slater.
at the 38 minute point the German guy says how this book made him buy 200 more books, that's for me a red flag, I cannot afford getting anything new for my already large library.
With my perception of time, I am thus not going to read this book but it is an interesting one, and I can at least get a taste of it through vids like this.
What I would prefer in books like this is
Gaddis' first 2 novels, which are more artistic focused. And Margeurite Young's Miss MacIntosh book, plus Lispector, Ducornet, Schulz, Walser, Musil, yeah my plate is already too full. If I was 17 years old, I'd be tearing through Eco like a madman though!! And Lonesome Dove, that is necessary as it's something I wouldn't have chosen by myself.
