Finding new to me words in my books

Edulcorate -- make something more acceptable or palatable ... origin 17th century Latin -- sweetened (where dolce comes from in Italian I bet!!)

as used in Drawn & Quartered

"a kind of endulcorated Saint-Simon"

Saint-Simon was one of those Utopianists leading up to the bearded wonder that everyone seems to have unclear notions of. Hallucinating his ideas and stuff whenever anyone disagrees with them for example.

Edulcorate your mind and your environment you are within at any moment.

Chaparral -- vegetation consisting of tangled shrubs and thorny bushes. origin - 19th century Spanish -- dwarf evergreen oak. -- a word often used in Lonesome Dove.
