Darconville's Cat -- Alexander Theroux

One of the interesting modern masterpieces that doesn't get a whole ton of attention but a few years ago happened upon some booktubers I respect talking glowingly about it, like some gem that needs to be resurrected, reprinted and all that. It's got a whimsical and learned air to it, it caused some controversy for how some people in the novel are treated thus making people think the author was the same.
