Thus began The Free Spirit Series, in this Cambridge volume are the 2 additions: Assorted Opinions and Maxims and The Wanderer and His Shadow, then comes Daybreak, then The Gay Science. That is for me what I like most of Nietzsche, where it's just a smorgasborg of observations often quite sharp, and expressed in a lively almost sarcastic style, I love attitude in philosophy, where it sounds like a real person speaking, and not just pure abstractions bludgeoning my poor stupid brain into silly puddy. Should one believe everything one reads? I say you should never wholly believe anything, what one reads is for the reader only at most 50% of the matter at hand, the rest is up to the reader. What am I going to do with this material, what have I ever done? Well I must be transparent and admit my abject failure of taking any important text to the next level of maximal usage, but as it is now, what predominates my thoughts is how near the end is, and just want to get as much reading out there, which will and I believe this wholeheartedly will help me somewhat in making more progress than I have hitherto.
