This isn't one of his best, but the 2nd essay is very important to me, it will take several vocaroos for each chapter. Don't be put off by his pessimism, see it this way, this world sucks doesn't it? Well wouldn't it be great if all this not goodness the world and the human state has could be expressed so lucidly and with lyrical aplomb? That precisely is why I treasure no other thinker as much as this guy. He isn't meaning to be dogmatic about anything, this is more like freedom of expression, whatever comes, is what it's supposed to be, I shall always prefer the fragmentary non-systematic sort of philosophy that contains some psychological nuggets to ponder over the kind of philosophy only specialists can comprehend. Life is coming fast to a close, that is the crucial element deciding all my decisions, the key factor that is.
