The Prophet -- Kahlil Gibran

I shall give my reading posts another approach, I have ended up giving a messy presentation in my vortex post, so that will be phased out for the one post/thread per work. Here I comply with the wishes of a member who mentioned this for me to read, and also one of my faves here Miram said once that this was one of her favorite works. It seems like it's in the vein of Nietzsche's Zarathustra but more gentle and humane. When I was a teenager, I had a friend from Lebanon, I was very much into Nietzsche at the time and he was all like nahhh man you gotta read The Prophet!! It is indeed a great work, I saw on itunes or whatever an early lecture Benjamin McEvoy gave for it, before he had his YouTube channel. It will be a pleasure to go through it here and imbibe on it's sweet nectar of lyrical wisdom, forgive all my mispronunciations and stuff.
