A little popular fiction galaxy to be included

Besides Tolkien's amazing trilogy, the following is to be pleasant journeys that would take as long as it would a long running show:

These are of the genres -- Science Fiction / Fantasy / and Horror

1. Isaac Asimov -- I think the Foundation trilogy here is the best first thing to read, and then the Robot stuff, after that I guess everything else if there's still time at that point.

2. The Dune series of 6 volumes by Frank Herbert, every attempt my effort level was feeble, I will give it more of an effort this time.

3. Ray Bradbury -- a wonderful reading experience will be had with this author!!

4. The Wheel of Time -- Robert Jordan writing the bulk of it, and then finished by Brandon Sanderson, who I really don't want to feel I have to read his stuff, like that Cosmere thing?

5. The Malazan Book of the Fallen -- by Steven Erikson, this has such a hype around it as very complex.

6. Thomas Ligott's short fiction -- a chronological volume of most of his short fiction, a major component in Literary horror, his non-fiction book The Conspiracy Against the Human Race is a great book too, which was the one that made me aware of Zapffe and others. I prefer those connections more than the Lovecraft connection.
