Just Finished Ben Elton's Biography

Wonderfully written....his style came bouncing off the pages.

I was just in double digits, age wise, when that collective of comedic talents - including Rick & Ade, Dawn French, Jen Saunders et al - were unleashed on the public. Was like humour went from black & white to full colour overnight!

Ben was a huge part of that.

From 'The Young Ones', 'BlackAdder' and onwards...including scripts, books (God, 'This Other Eden', 'Stark' and 'Dead Famous' are brilliant!) his time in Hollywood...it's a barrel load of laughs, tears, frustrations and joy.

His complex relationship with Rick Mayall is explored in great, and sensitive, detail. Lots of behind-the-scenes stuff and very interesting.

I loved it!
