Choices of E-readers

So I have a kindle. But have seen the Boox Palma 2. Does anyone here have both or the Boox Palma 2? Do I need it? I like that you can have all the reading apps on one device but it’s a little spendy. What are your thoughts?

I have a boox that I mostly like for the size, and a kobo..both are old models but I love them both. I wanted to have different sizes

Are they better than just reading through an app on a normal tablet (like the Kindle app)? If so, in what ways? I don't read a lot of ebooks, but am curious.

I had the cheap 8" fire tablet, next time I'm getting a paperwhite kindle, maybe a 9".

@NativePortlander1970 I actually bought the kids kindle. It’s a small paperwhite and has double the warranty. I love it, but love the size of this other.
