5 things that will keep me from fundamentalism

1. Academic commentaries -- it'll be great to use these again, I have some of the top ones too, which I recall long time ago here on SW I was posting all about it for about the stretch of a week or even a whole month!
2. Feminism -- Betty Friedan, Mary Daly, and Andrea Dworkin -- these are the ones i'd focus on, 2nd wave feminism is what took place in the most interesting time period, 60's and 70's mostly, Daly and Dworkin kept churning out stuff into the 90's or even later maybe, I like those 2 the best, both a little crazy, and I love them for that. I also should mention Kate Millet, a lot of her stuff is in KU or was, if still i'll use up some of my 20 borrows for them. Also I love The Scum Manifesto by Valerie Solanas, which I have a bio on as I do for Dworkin.
3. Nietzsche and company -- this is a group of thinkers spanning from before Nietzsche to after him, I see it as basically free thinking. Nietzsche himself is he who rattled my cage in the mid 90s, and i've never been the same. Also here is guys like Foucault for sure, and Camus, and Heidegger, Cioran, and some pro-Christian thinkers namely Kierkegaard and Shestov.
4. The Aesthetics -- from Homer, Hafiz, Rumi, Mahabharata, Tao teh ching, Pali Canon, Krishnamurti to the classics of all stripes, to modern, and postmodern. Poetry is a special highlight, including Robert Frost, and William Butler Yeats, and TS Eliot. Also the Western Canon with Virgil, Dante, Shakespeare, Milton, Goethe etc.
5. Page turners for when i've been fully fed on the good stuff.
