Books I've Read in the Past.

Some old books I've read are the Arrowsmith, Looking Backward, The Mayflower history story, Angels by Billy Graham, Shakespeare Twelfth Night, A Midsummer Night's Dream, The Merchant of Venice, Where the Red Fern Grows, the Crusades, The Picture of Dorian Gray, The Renaissance history, Walden, Common Sense, The Age of Reason. I also read some of Thoreu. solitude

A lot of these get me thinking even today because of the topics. 🥲😂😂

I don't know what those teachers could have been thinking. Grade school kids reading books like that. I read "To Kill A MockingBird" when I was 10 in the fifth grade. I had to ask my parents what "rape" meant. They didn't tell me but talked to the teacher and principal the next day. I never finished the book.

War of the worlds
This is my most favorite book of all time, I read itbwhen I was nine years old shortly after it was published in the late 1970's.

Book overview
They called the healer Snake and she bore the name proudly, for the medicine she distilled from the venom of the viper she carried with her was a portent cure and a soothing power to her other companion, the alien dream snake, banished fear. But the primitive ignorance of those she served killed her dream snake and wrecked her career - for dream snakes were rare and Center would not grant her another. Snake's only hope was to find another - and on her quest she was pursued by two followers, one driven by love and the other by fear and need.
