How do you read on your kindle device?

Do you read it? Or do you follow along with it reading to you? I have it read to me while I follow along.

Depends. Most of my kindle books are samples, I probably only bought about 100 books.

Of those, most are philosophy and history books, so I will take my 10 1/2 inch kindle and hand copy a primary text translation line by line, either the whole text or just important sections.

If I find the work unworthy, I leave it alone. If it isn't a very deep text, such as a work on literature, I may listen to it if I have that option when out hiking where no cellular signal exists. Something I wouldn't consider very deep but worth listening to would be Gulliver's Travels. It isn't worth a line by line examination, the gist is good enough. Something worthy of pause and considerstion would be Alexander Pope's transaltions of the Illiad. I hand copied his Shield twice. If I had to choose between Alexander Pope's corpus or the City of London continuing to exist, I would choose Pope, as he is of greater benefit to humanities present and future.
