what was your experience with publishing your first book?

i'd like to know what obstacles have you faced and what was the reflection on your life?

It was horrible. I authored my first magnum opus in 2009. After finding no one to publish, self-published it and just rested, as the world robs money from Authors.

I have resumed my work only after KDP emerged. I now directly publish on Kindle.
