What purpose do book bans serve when those same books can be bought off Amazon?

@MasterLee Then that defeats the purpose of "protecting the children" that people who vote to ban certain books from school libraries have. Instead of going through all the trouble, how about these folks let kids decide what they want to read. If the books they choose are inappropriate, their parents can return it.
