Have you ever read a book that feels like it's more than it pretends to be at first read? I have this strange relationship with The General's Daughter. I read it and re-read it. I feel for the woman because I know how it feels like to be mistreated....

I loved the film and the book (which I didn't read until afterwards) was almost identical from what I recall. I thought the film was better as a film than the book as a book, frankly.

I have not read the book. Not yet. I see it's about r ape and military and corruption.
IDK if it's a bookchoice I'll make. Not sure.
