What is a highly recommended book you read and hated?

I’ll start…

For months everyone kept recommending The Never King in all of my reading groups. I finally caved and read it. It was terrible, but that’s my unpopular opinion!

Most of them, especially if recommended by the contemporary authors' clique, or as cultural literary classics.

@Really Yes, that does always seem to be the case! It seems people get more caught up in some scholarly debate about the books ACTUAL meaning rather than what was inside the pages. I’m not into that. I want a good book that takes me on an adventure, has me
fall in love, or moves/inspires me in some way. But to each their own!
