My top secular books atm
1. Alexandr Solzhenitsyn's The Gulag Archipelago - a 'pick me upper'
2. Bruno Schulz - Collected Stories - gorgeous hallucinatory prose
3. 3 by W.G. Sebald - with gloomy pictures scattered throughout the text
I've heard that Mikhail Bulgakov's The Master and Margarita is a Christmasy read so i should be throwing that in the mix soon too.
These and many more shall keep me from going stir crazy from the Reformed fellas who constantly refer to biblical passages like for example I Tim. 2:3,4 ... John 3:16 ... Lev 12:11-29
