What's the last book to disappoint you?

I started this book and it was really good until it turned into being all about God. It's called Saving My Assassin. It's a true story about an attorney in Romanian. So I thought it was gonna have a little more action involved, but basically she tells him a bible verse and he doesn't kill her. That's it. I don't even know if I can finish it this point because every page is full of her quoting the bible and praying.
