@BabyLonia I read when I’m driving, washing dishes, walking the dog. I can’t just sit or lay down to listen or I struggle to concentrate when lifting weights 🤔

I fall asleep actually reading these days 🙈

@BabyLonia thankfully that’s not an issue with me. Although at times if my mind is all over the place I will turn the audio book off and listen to music instead.

I don't care for audio books. Especially when the have a famous person reading it and instead of thinking about the main character of the novel and their personality, I'm just picturing the "celeb". 😥

@Fluffybull haha fair play. He is a bit pompous. I won’t give up yet as I did love 1984. But I’m finding it a bit difficult maybe as I’ve read it previously anyway 🤔

I enjoy audiobooks as they let me do something else (like knit) at the same time. But i don't retain the information as well as if i read a book.

@SW-User I guess they are not for everyone to be fair. I didn’t kind of “train” myself with podcasts first. That helped massively..

To me they're about the same. Mostly i prefer reading, but long road trips are much better with an audiobook.
