Dexter TV vs Books

I know that any season past 4 in Dexter are not worth watching. The most recent New Blood withstanding. But here is the thing I found interesting. Dexter maybe one of the few instances where the book is actually worse than the movie/TV show. No matter how bad Dexter was on TV, it pales compares to the some of the nonsense in the books. No matter how many times Harrison fell on that treadmill, the TV show never asked you to accept that the "dark passenger" that guided Dexter was really a demon. Yeah the books actually went there.

Its a rarity to me. Usually I enjoy the books so much more because they can really round out the characters. But these days TV writers are not all hacks.

Can't stand the books, but, I did like the series.

[@797643,MrsIndyJoe] It really is something when the TV writers did a better job with the character.

[@1253707,Justme22] definitely!! Ive seen that a lot when they turn books into movies or a tv series.
