I have to choose a name for the Queen for a creative writing assignment. it can't be a actual name that's common among royalty so I tried to choose ones that sounded regal even if they... Aren't.

Isabelle sounds almost Spanish or Italian to me, so just be aware of cultural implications behind certain names before choosing. Idk where your story is based.
@SavannahMay setting of it is a long story. Basically like... A hunger games scenerio, just less violent. But USA based, after the USA is no longer the USA. I wanted to include all that in the description, but less people would give me feedback if I had some long thing for them to read lmao
@Lucyy in that case couldn't you basically come up with your own names that sound royal? Like if it's a new world, new trends would come in. "Sammie" could be deemed "elegant", technically lol
@AmmieBell in theory. But there's still an issue of bias from the readers. Like at first I wanted to go with African names, but God knows people would turn around and be like "that's too ghetto" for a queen 🙃 because the reader doesn't know all the back story and meanings behind names like that. And the story isn't based around that, so I don't want to delve into it. So I'm going for names that aren't common among royalty now, but COULD be in theory one day
@AmmieBell you'd think not, but details surrounding the name are one of only three rubric requirements. And he's sort of a dick, so he definitely could take off 1/3 of my grade over it lmao
