How to get better at writing?

I started here by developing metaphors.
They act as images which connects well with starting plats, settings and characters. I wrote a 115k word novel starting here.

Read in your chosen genre. Be aware that for every celebrity author you see in a bookstore, there are masses of unpublished writers.
