You see JK Rowlings made few flaw in her books.

This is one of them.

Remember Harry was too afraid join Slytherin?

His father, James Potter was a Gryffindor, yet he was bullying Snape (as we all know he was a house of Slytherin).

Ps: I am too bored.

i wouldnt say harry was afraid to join slytherin, makes it sound like he was being a coward. he was afraid of what it would mean to be a part of slytherin, as in, theyre all bad eggs, and he didnt want to be a bad egg.
theres no denying theres some inconsistencies throughout the story but i thought this was straightforward, you end up where you want to be
