The Truth Pixie by Matt Haig

Not saying that everyone should be interested in children's literature or that this is an exquisite, sophisticated piece of art but it's a book that addresses and eventually helps both children (and adults) deal with fears, worries and anxiety and teaches them how doing the right thing may not always be the easy or the "normal" way of dealing with life.

Some very cheesy quotes there (especially if you're older than 8 ) but they can still help make the dark days a bit brighter.
