Book lovers: Have you ever read a book slowly on purpose to make it last longer?

I started reading “The Institute” by Stephen King six days ago. I finished it just now.

That book was *great*. I wish it had taken longer to read it.

I can read very fast, I had a speed-reading class in high school and I can still do it, but I read fiction very slowly, especially if I like it. I like to wonder why the author chose that word and why he put the sentence together that way. It isn't just a good story and good characters.
