In addition to being a frightening movie, The Exorcist is a frightening read.

@SW-User Yeah I would say so.Considering it is based on supposed events.

The story was more inspired by a reported event than rooted in it. Blatty took so many liberties with the storytelling that there really isn’t much that resembles the event that inspired him to write it. @SW-User
