my husband wrote this poem

MOUNT GERIZIM

Do any yet dare to dream
Of the temple atop Mount Gerizim
Where praises were given to Elohim
Before the army of Judah was seen
A the holy of holies was defamed
When into the sanctum the Judahites came
Tore down the altar made to God
Declaring it was but a fraud
Their cackling voices were heard in the air
Which turned into anguish when Babylon came there
For their temple too was put to the torch
And the wealth all therein was taken by force
The curse of the Samaritans cost them the day
And the army of Judah was taken away
But who still dares to dream?
About the hypocrisy of the sackers of Mount Gerizim.
