We never get told... when the nazis burnt the books, what sort of books were they burning?

I was taught they were any books they deemed unpatriotic and un-German. They included the works of prominent Jews, liberal and leftist writers. One of those writers who's books were burned was Ernest Hemingway.

Harry Potter, mostly

Good ones. Jewish authors. Books about people. Books that still matter. How many Nazi authors still matter? None I can think of.

Mostly medical textbooks on sexual reassignment surgery and communist literature. Do I get a cookie?
