There's a few books I wish would go on forever.
Braziliannut · 22-25, F
@Lostpoet this happen with every book I finish lol
Lostpoet · M
@Braziliannut There'll always be another book.
Braziliannut · 22-25, F
@Lostpoet true but I don't like the feeling ! Haha
I know it's a good book when I am so involved in the story that I hate for it to end.
The end of a friendship that you are not prepared to be done with.

Maybe not quite depressed, but the 'lost something' remark speaks to me.

I think that's an important feature the serial provides for those who enjoy them - the allure of 'It doesn't have to end.'

Care to tell us which book has you feeling this?
Braziliannut · 22-25, F
@hlpflwthat it a Japanese novel but I get this feeling with almost every book I finish .
walabby · M
That happens to me too... :(
SW-User
Yeah actually. Same with finishing a good single-player game. That's probs why I haven't finished the past few games I've played. 🤔
Braziliannut · 22-25, F
@SW-User Mass effect 3 made me feel this way .
thepreposterouspanda · 36-40, M
Sometimes, yup. At the same time though, there's something beautiful about those last few lines, ya know? :)
Eternity · 26-30, M
That happened after I finished:

The harry potter series

The Eragon series

The artemis fowl series

The Gregor the Overlander series

The Warrior series

The original Percy Jackson series

The gathering blue/the giver/the messenger series

I could go on lol
walabby · M
@Eternity The Wheel of Time series?
Eternity · 26-30, M
@walabby no but that does remind me I forgot to mention the wrinkle in time series
mangomonkey · 41-45, F
Yes,completely relate to this
HannahSky · F
Yeah you get in their world, you don't want it to stop. I think that's why series are popular.
Ian123 · 61-69, M
Just recently I felt like this, so understand how you feel 😀
ronisme1 · 61-69, M
Only if it's a series and I want to continue the story and cant
Yes. It is like visiting a wonderful place and having a great time, then wishing one could stay a bit longer when it’s time to go home. 🙁
