My poemes are not in English, should I share them and translate into English?

I have a collection of poems written in a small European language. I am gathering the courage to show them to someone. But if I translate them and show them here, the poems lose a lot of meaning. Do you think I should still do it?

No! Don't bother. Save it for linguistic experts.

@DeWayfarer Thanks for the feedback. It seems that people are torn between the yes and no options exactly as I was before asking this question :). But I am now leaning towards the "no". Maybe I will give it a try and write some new poems in English. But I do not feel as confident in English, there are so many subtleties to a poem, I do not want to sound like a bad "high-school-project" poet ;).

@revenant no, no, a misunderstanding. I do not have poems in French, but I did read some Prevert :).

@sumojumo This is exactly the misunderstanding why you should let up to linguistic experts!!!
