What are some good books?

I am going to Barnes and Noble this week (maybe today). I like sad books but I want to read a couple happy books. What would you recommend, from each kind?

Have you ever read The Phantom Tollbooth? :)

@thepreposterouspanda I haven't even heard of it.

@fluteacorn So, it's a book for young adults, but I love it. It's basically this kid named Milo who is bored with life. And he comes home one day, and finds a tollbooth in his room, and drives his toy car through it. He ends up in the city of Dictionopolis. It just gets crazy from there, but it's wonderful. :)

@thepreposterouspanda Sounds like the plot of The Stranger in the Mirror by R.L.Stein

@fluteacorn Yeah? It's not spooky like that though. The whole book is plays on words and puns and it just makes you happy haha.

@thepreposterouspanda Definitely have to see if they have it then.

@fluteacorn Yup! You should also look for the Chronicles of Amber. That will keep you busy for at least a week haha.
