Do you ever start to read a book which turns out to be boring but because you've spent so much time on it, keep reading?

I have this strange quirk where I am unable to stop reading something after I start it. So it's been something I do.
Lately, I've been dropping boring books though.

@SW-User Thing is you keep thinking its got to get better, but some authors prefer a million words when a hundred would do.

@alan20 Agree! I had something like this last month and it drove me a little annoyed having to go through that.
