If a movie is made of a novel you enjoyed, do you usually want to see the movie?

Of would you rather hold onto the images that formed in your head from reading the book?

I usually do not want to see the movie. Or if I do, it has to be a long time after I have read the book.

I watched "The Grapes of Wrath", and was very much disappointed.

@helenS I was too. Although I did enjoy Henry Fonda's soliloquy at the end.
