Any smaller books out there which have a deep, but interesting story?

Something you can often read while commuting to work would be ideal.
Since I have a good 30 minutes until I arrive at my destination.

I liked a book called J.T. By Jane wagner when I was in middle school. I still have an appreciation for it. It’s short and simple, there are some pictures, too. But I liked the story.

This one isn’t. You can find lots of manga online though, some are short. I don’t have any recommendations if that’s what you’re looking for. @sa3rb

@GlitterBug I was kinda hoping just for a smaller book, because manga I can always find online and read there.
For once I'd just like to take my eyes of a screen and read a book pretty much.
