Stolen

Yeah, it's my fault in a way, I left a drink going for a smoke with my book on top. Yes the bar was busy but it's rare I've taken karaoke singers to have interest in literature other than the lyrics bopping on the tv screen, anyway the book is gone I checked all around.

The worst form of theft, in my humble opinion. Who the actual fuck would stoop low enough to steal someone's book. The world is ruined. RUINED, I TELL THEE!
SW-User
@JosephineFox so ruined.
@SW-User What was the book?
SW-User
@JosephineFox The Favourite Game by Leonard Cohen. I had finished it before, I was rereading so in a way it wasn't a huge loss for me, and simply I was taken aback, it would have helped me I hadn't been twenty pages away from finishing it again?
Ahhh, dear Lawrence. What an exceptional story.
SW-User
@JosephineFox so you mean to reference Breavman in your response?
Am I referencing the wrong character?
SW-User
@JosephineFox Do u know Leonard Cohen at all?
Absolutely. He is sat on a bookshelf in the office at home!
SW-User
@JosephineFox where do you live?
So many questions ;) I'm in England.
SW-User
@JosephineFox so you love Cohen, I know a question again and I will talk privately about that
I don't 'love' him - there are far too many amazing authors to restrict ourselves to such emotions. But his writing resonated with me. And whilst many of my peers found it dull and misogynistic, I adored Lawrence's trials and tribulations.
SW-User
@JosephineFox Lawrence Breavman? Much of Leonard's words have been considered misogynistic at the time and many years later
Indeed. At least I think that's his name. You're making me doubt myself! It has been a while since I read it.
SW-User
@JosephineFox It is the character in the favourite game, I had the book stolen last night while reading it for my second time. A semi-autobiographical piece of Leonard young before he came out with more misgyonist, and emotive pieces, Irving Layton inspired in Beautiful Losers
SW-User
@JosephineFox so are we having a conversation about literature on SW? If so tell me a piece of literature you love
SW-User
@JosephineFox You're doubling down on myself and that I like of you! I know my references upon what I gave, and they are right... but you're silence I'm not sure.
It seems we are. How utterly decadent!
Miguel Esteves Cardoso wrote a beautiful book called O Amor é Fodido (Love Is Fucked) which I struggled to find in English, and so my dear Portuguese friend translated the entire book for me. And I truly adore it.
SW-User
@JosephineFox I'll look it up. I do sometime struggle that way as I had a partner Italien, who I loved, who betrayed me once and it was with a spanish partner.
SW-User
@JosephineFox You're a poet? I might still like you, as I do anyway
Ha! I try to be a poet, although most days I fail miserably.
SW-User
@JosephineFox I think you fair fine.... you've gave me vague questions that pull out more and then went back to 'normal conversation'. One of your poems?
I'm not sure my questions are particularly vague..
SW-User
@JosephineFox They aren't I was just feeling out you werent judging me, I'm nervous that way
I'm the least judging person you could ever meet.
