Does anyone know if you're banned from advertising on here?

I've been writing and formatting some e-books and I'd like to be able to post in some relevant groups on here about them.

I tried to do that with one of my books a year or so ago. Someone said they reported me, but nothing ever came of it, so I'm not actually sure if we are or not.
