Do you judge a book by its cover.

@SweetMae So, I have 'this friend' who used to read Star Trek novels... Should he keep this from the world?

@SweetMae I've thought about writing a mystery novel about a detective who solves crimes by looking at what people have on their bookshelves.

@SweetMae Really? Like... It has never been a significant part of my observations about people...sounds interesting tho.
Can you tell me what to think of this:
I don't like the hobbit and lord of the rings, never read it past the first chapter.
I like poetry, and realistic stories based on either a person's life or a certain emotional experience, be it romance, abuse, thrill.
I like crime and suspense.

@Valentine Maybe I misunderstood the question. If someone is reading a history book, I know they like history. If they are reading art books, they might be an artist...etc.

Me too, actually ... lol. I know a member of my family who absolutely likes factual/fictional and fantasy books ... amongst a long list of topics. She's been known to read a book-a-day. I think it would be hard to figure anything out from the amount she actually reads ... lol

@SW-User I think that makes you a very intelligent person that looks at the world in a very realistic way.

@Justbychance She is intelligent enough to read a variety of books. She can free her mind to enjoy fantasy books.
