What's the best book series you have read?

My favorites are the Song of Ice and Fire by George RR Martin, Earth's Children by Jean M. Auel, Crystal Cave series by Mary Stewart, and Shannara series. I like big books with deep plots. I need more ideas for a book series to read.

The crystal cave series is one of my favorite stories..
The Morgain series by CJ Cherryh was excellent, i highly recommended it.
