Is being desperate ever a good thing ?

I was reading this poem yesterday and it was mentioned how being desperate was beautiful.

“But there is nothing more beautiful than being desperate, and there is nothing more risky than pretending not to care.”

What do you think?

Desperation is an exhibition of both painful authenticity & passion. To be desperate is to crave, to long, to desire without any pretense. Should I tiptoe around those things in my life which I want the most? Hoping that I will get them? Or should I run with my hands outstretched towards that which I want more than anything else?

There is nothing else.
@Winterwanderer well said 🙂

Are you desperate for anything?
@Winterwanderer I think I’m desperate for a lot more than I’m willing to admit.

Then admit it! Desperation is beautiful, imagine if there were nothing in your life that you cared about.
